Many people are wondering why state park property is being logged. Mark Miller of Conservation Forestry, a member of the park advisory committee, said the work is to help develop educational and interpretive offerings. Walking trails at the park will include trailhead kiosks, informational displays and self-guided-tour stations that will explain the benefits of modern forest management techniques.
