RUMFORD POINT – Harrison and Frances Burns of Rumford Point celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 15.
On March 25, their three sons, Michael, Robert and David, hosted a celebration of the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary at the Rumford Point Congregational Church, United Church of Christ.
The celebration included the taking of a Burns family portrait followed by a renewal of their wedding vows with a blessing for many more years together. Before they cut their anniversary cake, Michael Burns offered an Irish blessing for his mother and a Scottish blessing for his father.
