MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) – A man was found dead early Saturday on a Meriden Little League baseball diamond, the apparent victim of a homicide, police said.
Antonio Perry, 20, of 52 Santangelo Circle in Middletown, had been shot at least once, police said Saturday.
They described the homicide as drug-related, and said it is not believed to be a random crime.
Meriden Little League officials found Perry’s body next to the press box behind home plate when they arrived early Saturday at Jack Berry Little League Field to prepare for opening day.
The homicide remained under investigation later Saturday, and no arrests had been made.
