OES meeting

LISBON FALLS – Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Masonic Hall. Lewiston Assembly 14, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, will be special guests. They will perform the Rainbow/Star Ribbon Ceremony. Refreshments will follow the meeting. All members of the order are invited.

Herb luncheon

AUBURN – The Garden Club of the Woman’s Literary Union will hold its annual herb luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the clubhouse, 19 Elm St. Susan Morgan is in charge of hospitality.

Bridge winners

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on April 11 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, Mike Quinn and Luke Merry; second, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; third, Martine Begert and Rosemarie Goodwin; fourth, Leslie Buzzell and Nancy Lindgren; fifth, David Lock and Patricia Garcia.

Flight B winners were: first, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; second, Doug and Betty Sise. Another game will be held on Tuesday, April 18.

The club also met on April 12 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Flight A winners were: first, Paul Barber and Luke Merry; second, John Hackett and Leslie Buzzell; third, Mary Leahey and Rosemarie Goodwin; fourth, Martine Begert and Patricia Garcia; fifth, Mike and Patricia Quinn.

Flight B winners were: first, Roger Briggs and Claire Lyons; second, David Wallace and Tom Dahlberg. Anthoer game will be held on Wednesday, April 19. A partner is guaranteed at both games. For more information, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.
