LEWISTON – The St. Croix Regional Federal Credit Union has donated $3,000 to the Sisters of Charity Food Pantry, located at 208 Bates St.

“We’re thrilled at the generous support shown by the St. Croix Regional Federal Credit Union and its members,” said pantry supervisor Joyce Gagnon.

“For every dollar contributed to the pantry, we can provide $12.50 worth of food to our clients. That means this donation is worth $37,500 to our community.”

Employees and members of the St. Croix Regional Federal Credit Union raise money year round through various events to benefit the Ending Hunger in Maine program. The credit union determines where it would like to donate the money in order to address hunger and its impact. The money for this donation to Sisters of Charity Food Pantry was raised by the credit union during 2005.
