OXFORD – Tally-Ho 4-H Horse Club of Bethel will sponsor a “Get Ready, Get Set, Let’s Show Schooling Show” on Sunday, May 7, at the Oxford County Fairgrounds.

All rules of the New England 4-H horse show rule book will be followed and it will be open to all youth. Registration will start at 8 a.m. and the show will start at 9.

Proof of Coggins and rabies will be required, and all junior, 4-H and walk-trot classes require wearing an ASTM-approved helmet. Also required is an embossed 4-H animal approval form for 2006. Show clothes will not be required.

Walk-trot classes are open to anyone who has never cantered in a show before. Junior classes are for riders under the age of 18 as of the show date and will be asked to canter. Senior riders are over the age of 18 as of date of show and also will be asked to canter.

Four-H classes require the rider and horse must be enrolled in the 4-H horse project. A half-hour lunch will be held about noontime. Tally-Ho will offer a light lunch and snacks.

The show will be held rain or shine. In case of extreme weather, the show will be called off by 8 p.m. Saturday. Call 836-3217 for a registration form and information. All classes are $4 each, and checks may be made out to the Tally-Ho 4-H Horse Club.
