Class lunch

RUMFORD – Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet at Sam’s Italian Sandwich Shoppe in Virginia for a monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19. All classmates are welcome.

Women to meet

MEXICO – The women of Stephens High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at Dick’s. Call Colleen at 364-3553 if planning to attend.

Lunch planned

RUMFORD – The members of Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for a monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Boiler Room at Hotel Harris.

Annual meeting

MEXICO – Farrington Morton Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the Green Church conference room.

All members are requested to attend as a change of bylaw amendments will be discussed. A member of the association is any person who holds the deed to a lot in the cemetery.

Bottle drive

CANTON – The Canton Fire Department will hold a bottle drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29. Donations may be dropped off at the new fire station or call 597-2404 for pickup.

Proceeds and donations will go toward a water rescue survival suit and rescue rope.

Society supper

MEXICO – The Mexico Historical Society will meet Tuesday, April 25, at the Calvin Lyons meeting room at Town Hall. There will be a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m.

The main speaker will be Cathy Mattson of Fryewood Farms. The farm has three greenhouses, sells apples, flowers and vegetables. They also have horses, cows, sheep and baby lambs.

Sen. Bruce Bryant and Rep. John Patrick will present the Mexico Historical Society with an American flag and a state flag.

The society’s museum, located at 3 Oxford St., is open from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Connection meet

WILTON – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection will meet from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Boiler Room, Main Street. Classy Lady Boutique will show fashions for women re-entering the work force and guest speaker Robin Harnist of Roanoak, Va., will share “Peace in the Storms of Life.”

The meal cost is $12. Reservations may be made by calling Linda at 645-2412 or e-mailing cwcjayme@yahoo.com. Free child care is available with reservations.
