PORTLAND – Pauline L. Pinette, 73, of 145 Old Lisbon Road, Lewiston, died Saturday, April 15, at Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Webster, on March 15, 1933, the daughter of Israel and Roseanna (Cloutier) Charest and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.

She was educated in Lewiston schools. She married Richard D. Pinette on Sept. 3, 1955. He died on Jan. 28, 1993.

She was employed as a dental assistant for a local dentist office until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Herrle and her husband, R. Eric, of East Waterboro; two brothers, Arthur and Roger Charest, both of Lewiston; two sisters-in-law, Irene Depitro of Auburn and Henrietta Charest of Lewiston; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Lauren Herrle of East Waterboro.

She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Charest April 13, 2003; two sisters, Cecile Roy Oct. 21, 2003 and Henrietta Morin Oct. 19, 2003; and a sister-in-law, Therese Charest Aug. 9, 2004.
