FARMINGTON – Otter is a handsome husky that can make anyone smile, reports staff at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. His boyish antics are quite amusing, staff said.

He loves to hop about the room trying to get attention and hugs and kisses. He has had some basic training and knows sit, stay and lay down.

Staff said he would do best at a home with a fenced-in yard because he does love to run and can not be let off leash. He seems to do well with children, cats and other dogs.

New dogs at the shelter include a female tan and white pitbull mix found in Wilton. For more information on adoption, call 778-2638.

The annual meeting will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the Farmington Elks Lodge. There will be entertainment, a silent auction and refreshments.
