Mystery ride

LIVERMORE FALLS – Charity Rebekah Lodge will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Ralph Wright Memorial Hall in Livermore for a mystery ride. The event is under the direction of Perky Bangs and Roberta Moulton.

Church program

NEW VINEYARD – Mountain View Church on Church Street will host “The Kings Men” at a service starting at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 30.

The gospel quartet from Central Maine will offer a blend of southern gospel classic, traditional hymns and a few a capella numbers. The public is invited.

Benefit auction

SALEM – A benefit auction and supper for Jane Bunnell, who is undergoing cancer treatment, will be held Saturday, April 29, at the Salem Community Building. The auction will start at 4 p.m. followed by the supper at 5 p.m. The menu includes baked beans, hot dogs, salads, casseroles and homemade rolls and pies.

Blacksmiths meet

WILTON – The Western Maine Blacksmiths’ Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Wilton Historical Society. A program is planned. Visitors are welcome. For more information, call Bill Reid at 778-2325.

Take-out meal

NEW SHARON – A family baked bean take-out meal will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 6, at the New Sharon Congregational United Church of Christ, Cape Cod Hill Road. The meal will include a quart of baked beans, a pint of coleslaw, yeast rolls or brown bread and family-size homemade pie for $12. To reserve meals, call Mary at 778-2366.

Crafts meeting

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Busy Fingers knit/crochet group at Treat Memorial Library has decided to meet once a month through the summer. The next meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6. The group is still working on mittens for a charity to be selected later.

The library will continue to offer story time for young children, meeting the third Wednesday of the month, The next storytime will be 10:30 a.m. May 17 when the children will listen to stories and create a small craft.
