PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) – A daughter of former Gov. Craig Benson has pleaded guilty to simple assault.
Kristen Benson of Rye, 17, admitted to twisting two fingers on her former boyfriend’s hand in January. In return for the plea, a judge said if the teen stays out of trouble for six months and attends counseling, the complaint will be withdrawn.
The former governor and first lady attended the hearing Monday at Portsmouth District Court.
