LEWISTON – Each year, the Lewiston Auburn Rotary Club awards five scholarships to local high school students who plan to attend college in the fall.

In an effort to raise money, the LA Rotary is holding its first Wine Tasting and Dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Marco’s Ristorante Italiano. It will feature a five-course meal accompanied by selected wines from Central Distributors.

All proceeds will benefit the Lewiston Auburn Rotary Endowment.

Tickets are available for $40 and can be purchased by calling Jennifer Hogan at 333-0091 or e-mailing jen@lewistonauburn.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

The L-A Rotary Club was founded in 1917 and believes in “Service Above Self.”

The club has helped local and national organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Polio Plus Foundation, Classy Lady Boutique, the Good Shepherd Food Bank and Camp Susan Curtis.

Anyone interested in learning more about the dinner should contact Hogan or visit the Rotary Web site at www.lewistonauburnrotary.org.
