LEWISTON – A memorial mass was celebrated Monday for Joseph D.St. Pierre who died April 25. The Rev. Claude Gendreau celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at the inurnment at St. Peter’s Cemetery.The opening hymn was, “Let There Be Peace On Earth” and the processional song was “How Great Thou Art.” Scripture readings were by Dolly Long, the offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Brian Roy, Andy Forbush, and Alex Richard. Words of Remembrance were expressed by Joseph’s granddaughter, Lisa Forbush. At the conclusion of the Mass the recessional song was “J’irai la voir un Jour.” After committal prayers at the cemetery, the United States Army Honor Detail from Camp Keys played “Taps,” and presented our country’s flag to Mr. St. Pierre’s wife, Florence in recognition of his service to his country during World War II. A reception of fellowship followed the service at the Korn Haus Keller Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements were by the family owned Pinette Funeral Home.
