Glazed over eyes

Peering out.

This strange place

I’ve never seen

But I’ve been here before.

Broken and ragged

You have made me.

Body smeared with your filthy lies.

Never thought anyone noticed.

Look around.

See the rag doll,

Me.

On a reversed carousel,

World spins in quick consistency.

Frozen I stand.

This world abandoned.

Kindergarten laughter bounces off the broken brick walls.

Don’t know how I got here

But I can tell you everything

From behind empty sockets.

In my lost world I’ll be.

The psychological Atlantis

You set up for me.

Took my shoes

So I can’t run.

Broken and ragged

You have made me.

Body smeared with your filthy lies.

Never thought anyone noticed.

Look around.

See the rag doll,

Me.

Look hard past the picture frame.

See the makeshift smile you thought was real.

Material I have much.

Lies,

You gave me many,

Truth I thirst for.

Truth to sustain me,

Truth needed to find me.
