Where did I get the chance to see all of the latest prom fashions? Where did I get to watch a witty reenactment of Zoolander and celebrate a sixth month anniversary? Where did I get the chance to win an immense amount of raffle prizes and munch on refreshments? Where did I get to see students and teachers strut their stuff to a lively mix of pulsating music? Well, it was all under one roof and it was all just one event, the Lewiston High School Prom Fashion Show.

This was a night that Vogue would, have been mad they missed out on. With only one little mishap (the stage tumbling to the ground was an easy fix); the show ran as smooth as silk. The fashion show was coordinated by the incredibly chic, Lauren Rodrigue and was supported by many sponsors such as The Formal Image, Blais Flower Shop, Headquarters Salon. Cloud 9 Day Spa, Classic Tuxedo, and many, many more.

Girls fashioned beautiful dresses, some with side gathers and a beaded band, some with a long, flowing train, and some adorning the runway with bare feet. The men looked, super suave and dashing in their suits and tuxedos, wearing trousers, not just pants. The students and teachers were described by Matthew Gulshall, who enjoys being class president, and Jessica Dumond, who enjoys playing softball, by what they enjoy doing and what they were wearing. Leisure activities ranged all the way from playing Scrabble to churning butter from watching soap operas to riding mechanical bulls at Club Texas, and, from reading massive history books to sipping wine (done by the teachers, of course.) The night was. nonetheless, entertaining.

Everyone looked great, and the show was most certainly not one anyone wanted to miss. It was a successful night and one that every high school student could take some much-needed information from. Prom is coming around that corner at the speed of light, limos and expensive dinners, to elegant dresses and tuxedos. This fashion show was a definite smash hit!

At the end of the night guest walked away with prizes from Berube’s Car Center, The Hairem, Cassiels Day Spa, Da Vinci’s Eatery, Life Touch Photos, Classic Tuxedo, Cloud 9 Day Spa, Headquarters Salon, The Formal Image, Sarah Jeannes Family Hair Care, Sam’s Italian Restaurant, Margarita’s Restaurant, Morco’s Restorante Italiano, and Softlight Studios. These prizes were valued anywhere from $10 all the way up to $175 each.
