RUMFORD – Sharon Hebert of Western Maine Associates in Rumford recently received the Certified Professional Insurance Woman designation.
Attainment of the designation offers evidence of high professional standards, a commitment to continuing education and awareness of insurance industry issues, according to the National Association of Insurance Women, International, the organization that awards the designation.
In order to achieve the designation, each designee must be employed in the insurance or risk management industries and submit proof of completion of two education requirements, one of which is an NAIW program and the other which is an industry-related program offered by approved industry sponsored associations.
Hebert is treasurer and membership chairman of NAIW Androscoggin Valley and was also elected to the office of president for 2006-2007.
She also recently received the Certificate in General Insurance from the Insurance Institute of America.
