OTISFIELD – Robert Francis Thomas, 72, of Otisfield died Sunday, May 21, at his home.

He was born in South Paris on Dec. 9, 1933, the son of Francis and Ruth Millett Thomas. He graduated from Oxford High School and had been employed at Twin Town Homes for 35 years retiring in 1996.

He married Dolores Mae Smith. He was a member of the Oxford Lodge 18 and was a Shriner. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and painting.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dolores, of Otisfield; two sons, Russell and his wife, Leslie, of Norway and Bruce and his wife, Leslie, of West Paris; two daughters, Deanna Marshall and her husband, Gary Powers, of Oxford and Darlene Thomas and her companion, Joey Nickerson, of Otisfield; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond of Lewiston and Richard of Oregon; three sisters, Ruby Fafoutas of Westbrook, Rosalae Wells of East Oxford and Roberta and Rick of Hebron; and several nieces and nephews.
