BUCKFIELD – Elmer Everette Churchill, 85, of Buckfield, died at his residence on Sunday, May 21, after a long illness.
He was born in Buckfield on March 22, 1921, the son of Carlton and Lizzie (Cooper) Churchill. He was educated in local schools and had worked as a truck driver and lived in Buckfield all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene M. Churchill of Buckfield, whom he married in 1945; one daughter, Patricia Ouellette and her companion, Jerry Petersen, of Ryder, N.D.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as two dogs, Mollie and Montana; and his cat, Pooh.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Joan Wasson, one brother, Harold Churchill; and one sister, Ruth Scott. He was a great dad, husband, granddad and was devoted to his family. We are going to miss you and hope you had a good trip.
