BETHEL – Nathan Walker had two hits and four RBIs in one game and pitched seven solid innings in the other as Telstar beat Hall-Dale and Wiscasset, 6-0 and 6-2, respectively, in a MVC baseball doubleheader Tuesday.

Walker led the Rebels (5-6) in the opener against Hall-Dale, allowing just six hits and no earned runs. Steven Scotty and Mike Fleet led the offensive attack with two hits apiece. James Bell led the Bulldogs with two hits on the day, while Dylan Dupont was tagged with the loss.

In the nightcap, Walker led the Rebels (6-6) at the plate while Gavin Broomhall belted an RBI double and Blake Conrad posted two hits.

The Redskins were paced by Matt Etter and Nick Bennett with two hits each. Dan Carleton handled pitching duties and was saddled with the loss.

Oxford Hills 13, Mt. Blue 4

FARMINGTON – Russell Estes and Dillon Trundy each smacked two-run doubles as Oxford Hills rolled past Mt. Blue to post a 13-4 win in baseball action Tuesday.

Ryan Yeats and Dan Millett each hit an RBI double for the Vikings (8-5), while Ethan Sutton contributed three hits. Ben Ryerson picked up the win on the mound, showing good control of his curveball and keeping the Cougar (7-6) batters off-balance throughout the seven innings.

Mt. Blue was led by Steve Wells and Mike Toothaker with three and two hits, respectively.

Mountain Valley 12, Carrabec 0

RUMFORD – Matt Marr smacked a pair of home runs and had three RBIs to lead Mountain Valley to a 12-0 rout over Carrabec in MVC baseball action Tuesday.

Corey Devoe belted an RBI double for the Falcons (10-1), while Chris Cayer also ripped a double.

St. Dom’s 19, GPC 3

AUBURN – Brady Blackman hit two RBI doubles in the first inning to lead St. Dom’s to a 19-3 romp over Greater Portland Christian Academy on Tuesday.

St. Dom’s tallied 11 runs in the first inning to blow the contest open. Mike Carpenter, Peter Lewis, and Pat Bryant each contributed two-run doubles, while Rich Paradis rounded things out with an RBI double for the Saints (11-2).

Greater Portland Christian (1-8) was led by Chris Brewer with a one-run double.

Livermore Falls 10, Jay 6

JAY – Caleb Baron and Mike Durrell each belted out two-run homers in the fifth and sixth innings, respectively, as Livermore Falls topped Jay 10-6 in an MVC baseball matchup Tuesday afternoon.

The Andies (5-7-1) tallied five unearned runs in the fifth inning to propel them to their 10-6 decision. Zack Keene smacked an RBI triple in the fourth, while Karleton Jones hit a double for the win.

The Tigers (10-4) were paced with hits by Jamison Turner, including a single and a double.

Valley 12, Rangeley 6

RANGELEY – Travis Hovey smacked a two-run homer as Valley topped Rangeley 12-6 in baseball action Tuesday afternoon.

Cole Pullen pitched a solid game, striking out seven batters for the Valley win. Pullen and Austin Plourde each had three hits.

The Lakers were paced by Luke Hammond with a two-run homer and Kent Madeira with a double.

Monmouth 12, Madison 2

MONMOUTH – Nate Armstrong stuck out eight batters en route to a 12-2 Monmouth win over Madison in MVC baseball action.

Cameron Saucier had an RBI double, Ronnie Hobson went 3-3 with two RBIs, while Nate Armstrong contributed two hits and an RBI for the Mustang win.

Lewiston 9, Gardiner 8

GARDINER – Chad Guimond smacked an RBI double to tie the game in the top of the seventh, before Jon Paradis knocked Guimond home with a single to score the game-winning run, allowing Lewiston to top Gardiner 9-8 in a KVAC baseball matchup Tuesday afternoon.

Paradis ended the contest with four hits, including a double, while Nate Parker hit a two-run double for the Blue Devils (6-7).

The Tigers (7-6) were paced by Nick Acheson with two doubles and Kyle Stilphen with an RBI triple.

EL 3, Cony 0

AUGUSTA – Derek Doucette threw a two-hitter, with seven strikeouts and no walks, to lead Edward Little to a 3-0 win over Cony in baseball on Tuesday.

The Eddies (7-4) offensive effort was paced by Justin Ciszewski with a two-run single and Chris Morrill with two hits and one RBI in the seventh inning.

Brunswick 10, Leavitt 6

TURNER – Steve May belted out a three-run homer and an RBI single to lead Brunswick to a 10-6 win over Leavitt in baseball Tuesday.

Nate Wohrobe contributed an RBI double, while Dylan Chandler and Steve Gurrette each had three hits apiece for the Dragons (9-3).

Evan Barker had an RBI double, while Justin Rouillard hit two for the Hornets (2-11).
