WATERVILLE – Jeanne D. Bouchard, 85, of John Avenue at Seton Village, died Saturday, May 27, at MaineGeneral Medical Center after a brief illness with her family by her side.

She was born in Canada on June 21, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Florida Poulin. She was adopted by Joseph and Adele Boulanger at a young age.

She attended Mt. Merici Academy up to her freshman year.

Mrs. Bouchard was a clerk at Butlers Dept. Store in the shoe department, and also worked at Lincoln Dept. Store and Larry’s Variety.

She was a member of Notre Dame Ladies Guild; Ladies of St. Anne; and was a Eucharistic Minister at Notre Dame Church. She served on the Tenants Council at Seton Village.

In her last years, she occasionally attended Faith Evangelical Free Church. She helped her daughters and grandson at various times.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda LaVerdiere of Winslow, and Celeste Bouchard of Waterville; a brother, Lionel Poulin of Canada; a grandson, Jason LaVerdiere; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends at Seton Village.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Emile Bouchard, who died in 1992; and by two sisters, Fernand and Yvonne.

The family would like to thank the staff on the third floor of MaineGeneral for their helpfulness and kindness.
