KINGFIELD – Art gallery owner Ulrike Stadler is happy with the season opening of her art gallery over the Memorial Day weekend. It features the works of her students and others over the past year.
“It went pretty well,” she said, “We had quite a few people stop in. With everything else going on this weekend, it’s been great.”
Visitors had the chance to view paintings, sculptures and special projects from students Makayla Lisherness, Derek Poulin, Dimitri Maxsimic and Megan Howell. In addition, works in sculpture from Penny Hall, Karen Campbell and Darby Babson were on display in the large, airy barn on Main Street that serves as the gallery.
For June, the Stadler Gallery at 225 Main St. will feature paintings by Shannon Cote and photographs by Michael Lincoln. The gallery is open daily from noon to 4 p.m. or by appointment.
