LEWISTON – An employee of Sisters of Charity Health System has been honored with an invitation to participate in a national patient safety program sponsored by the Health Research & Educational Trust and the National Patient Safety Foundation.

Janet Smith, director of performance improvement, will join 25 health care leaders in the program. She will be involved in educational projects over the next year to enhance their leadership skills to improve patient safety in American health care and their respective organizations.
