During the primary election, Democrats who live within Auburn, Poland, New Gloucester and Durham will have a chance to vote for a very accomplished individual to become their candidate in the District 15 Senate race: Edward “Ed” Desgrosseilliers.

This lifelong resident of Auburn has derived a wealth of experience from a variety of sources. Ed is a veteran who served for two years in the U.S. Marine Reserve and more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Following retirement from the military service, his work experience included having been a manufacturing supervisor, restaurant manager and a U.S. Postal Service worker for 10 years before retiring.

Ed and his wife, Sheila, have four adult children, all accomplished in their own right, and nine grandchildren.

Combining Ed’s background with his amiable demeanor, diplomatic prowess and articulate ability results in a candidate deserving of the Democratic nomination for the Senate.
