I had decided early on that I would not get involved in the political process this primary season, but my decision was quickly changed when I heard that William J. Horn was running for county commissioner.

This gentleman has served our community extremely well for decades and is still going strong. He not only is an advocate for children, but has spent many hours giving back to the community. Currently a Planning Board member, as well as a past member of the Finance Committee, civic duty is very important to him. Being a county commissioner is just another step in his quest to do all he can to better this wonderful city of ours.

And, for those of you that haven’t heard, Mr. Horn plans to donate his yearly stipend to local charities or organizations. How many elected officials can put that on a campaign poster?
