LEWISTON – Bonnie Lee Farmer, 59, passed away Friday,June 2, with her family by her side at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born Sept. 27, 1946, a daughter of Glenwood B. and Eletrice Stewart Farmer. She attended Farmington schools and graduated from Farmington High School in 1965 and from the Golden School of Beauty Culture in June 1966.
Bonnie started her cosmetology career with Timy Hemingway. She then went on to work with Gloria Danforth and Edrie Sutcliff, and at Dick and Gloria’s Family Hair Care before owning her own business, Bonnie’s Beauty Salon.
After moving to Auburn in 1993, she worked for Fantastic Sams, Cutters by the Park, Sears, Hannaford and VIP.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and spending time with her family. Bonnie looked forward to spring days when she could fill her flower boxes. She was greatly loved by many who met her, and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her son, Steven of Auburn; her father, Glenwood of West Farmington; twin sister, Connie Farmer of Auburn; sister, Sharon Stevens of Gardiner, sister, Deanne Hyer and her husband, Alton, of Augusta; brother, Glendon Farmer and his wife, Cathy, of Farmington; sister-in-law, Alice Farmer of New Vineyard; brother, Greg Farmer and his wife, Debbie, of New Vineyard; sister, Kimberly Thibodeau and her companion, Ellis Smedberg, of Anson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished.
She was predeceased by her mother; a brother, David; and a brother-in-law, Eric Stevens.
