Our soldiers are good men. I am proud of them all and I know I can speak for our country when I say: “forever true.”

My father is a Vietnam vet. I’m pretty sure he served three tours before getting shot through the legs and he came home to hear himself called a “baby killer.”

Our country sent my father and many others over to a place we didn’t belong and they and him had to learn the hard way. You don’t run, you conquer because you are a soldier.

Hello?

We got the terrorists back for 9/11, so let’s get our men out of Iraq. We don’t belong there. We don’t need to clean their mess. Their leader is gone, right?

That’s what they get.

They’re not going to come over here and change how I feel about 9/11 and, if they did, there would definitely be a problem.

We need our soldiers here helping us. Let’s get back to business, like cleaning up after Katrina, because there are more hurricanes headed our way and we need our men to handle business.

So, President Bush should get down to business. America wants to mind our own.

I am speaking as a mother, which means I want to get our boys outta there. I speak angrily when I say, “get ‘er done.”
