Lewiston – Annette M. (Ayotte) Richard, 90, of 418 Sabattus St., Lewiston, entered into the eternal embrace of her loving Lord at her home on Tuesday, June 6. She was surrounded by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and nieces.

She was born in Lewiston, April 10, 1916, a daughter of Emile and Rose Tardif Ayotte. She attended local parochial schools.

She worked in local shoe shops, cooked at the Marcotte Nursing Home and St. Casmir Nursing Home. She also worked many years for the local community of Dominican Fathers and Brothers.

She was married to Ralph J. Richard Feb. 14, 1942. He died Oct. 2, 1999.

She was a communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Parish and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality.

She was totally devoted to her family. She enjoyed dining out, taking Sunday rides, knitting and crocheting for charities. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. All those who knew and cherished her will surely miss her.

She is survived by her caregiver son, Brother Irenee Richard O.P.; her sons and spouses, Fernand and Joanne (MacDonald) Richard, Donald Richard, Philippe and Muriel (Pepin) Richard, Leo and Georgette (Guerin) Richard, Louis and Stella (Fucini) Richard, Gerard and Louise (Dube) Richard, Robert and June (Pinette) Richard; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two close niece and nephew, her godchild, Carolyn Robertson and Simonne and Clarence Hinkley Jr.

She was predeceased by a son, Gilbert; her parents and siblings, Anita Robertson, Estelle Small, Rhea Bosse, Jean-D’Arc Loring, Grace Lagassey, Fern, Paul, Al and Normand Ayotte.
