Flag Day observed Sunday

FARMINGTON – An annual Flag Day observation will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the Farmington Elks Lodge on School Street in West Farmington.

There will be a formal salute to the flag, and American Legion Post No. 28 of Farmington will perform a flag burning ceremony. Refreshments will follow, and everyone is invited to attend.

Tattered and faded flags may be given to any legionnaire or Elk prior to the event, or brought to the ceremony Sunday for proper disposal.
