WATERFORD, Conn. – Phyllis Leona Dow, 85, a former resident of New Gloucester died June 6, in Waterford, Conn.

She was born in North Monmouth on Dec. 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Fred and Bessie (Morse) Lee. On Aug. 18, 1938, she married Eugene Edgar Dow of Wales. He passed away April 30, 1998. She attended school in North Monmouth. She had been a housekeeper in Old Lyme, Conn. She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts.

Survivors include a son, Robert Dow and his wife, Linda, of Old Lyme, Conn. and Rangeley; a daughter, Joan Valley and her husband, Stanley, of Greenbrier, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, June Dow in 1981; a sister, Myra Casterline of Pennsylvania; and a brother, Albert Lee of Norridgewock.
