MILILANI, Hawaii – Donna Lee Gagnon McLaughlin, 54, of Mililani, Hawaii, died May 30, of ALS, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Lewiston on May 20, 1952, the daughter of Jeanette (Jane) St. Hilaire Gagnon and John Gagnon.
Prior to moving to Hawaii in 1987, she lived in Auburn and Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School in 1970. She continued her education at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Bangor to become a registered nurse. Until her illness, she worked at the Kaiser Hospital Foundation in Honolulu.
She will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, her dedication to her family and her passion for nursing. She was also the current president of the Mililani Orchid Society.
She leaves behind a daughter, Jenni Sili and her husband, Steve, of Mililani, Hawaii, and their children, Jordan, Kylee and Emily-Jeanette; a son, SPC Matthew McLaughlin and his son, James, of Fort Lewis, Wash.; a sister, Mary Lambert and husband, Chuck, of Juneau, Alaska; a brother, Tom Gagnon and wife, Janette, of Juneau, Alaska; as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.
