Poland – Ronald E. Moody Sr., 55, of Verrill Road, Poland, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 7, at his home.

He was born in Augusta on June 28, 1950, a son of the late Richard and Jessie (Dorr) Moody. For many years he worked for BIW as a welder and grinder.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved making cookies for the grandchildren and taking them for rides on the four-wheeler. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren.

He loved to work on cars and enjoyed doing yard work. He loved his dogs dearly. One of his favorite things to do was to get up bright and early for breakfast at Cole Farms. He will be missed for his sincere generosity, caring attitude, and big heart.

His willingness to help family and friends was admirable. He was a happy-go-lucky man, who always made people laugh with the silly things he said and did.

He leaves a son, Ronald Moody Jr. and his wife, Celeste, of Poland; a daughter, Andrea Doherty of Winthrop; Pamela Walker, former wife of 33 years; two sisters, Juanita Mayberry of Augusta and Jeannette Beaulieu and her husband, Robert, of Farmington; two brothers, Donald Moody and wife, Linda, of Dresden and Linwood Moody and wife, Sandra, of Pittston; and four grandchildren, Adam and Sarah Moody and Tyler and Brianna Doherty.

He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Raymond.
