If our kids are going to be able to afford to live in Maine, we need a governor with backbone enough to say no to funding nice-sounding ideas that aren’t necessary.
We need a leader who has compassion for the less fortunate, yet a healthy sense of cynicism for those who want too much and those who do too little.
We need a leader who has an affordable vision for Maine’s future and can get it done across party lines.
Peter Mills has demonstrated all of those qualities.
I believe that a good idea is a good idea, no matter which political party comes up with it. Peter Mills is an independent thinker who can get things done, that’s why I am urging all independents to invest in Maine’s future by registering as Republicans for next Tuesday’s primary and cast votes for Peter Mills.
