WORCESTER, Mass. – Zerila “Mary” Labay, 87, of Linden Street, Oxford, Mass., died Friday, June 9, 2006, at the Hospice Residence, Worcester, after an illness.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of the late John and Regina (Labbay) Henault, and lived in Maine before moving to Oxford, Mass., in 1950.
She was predeceased by her husband of 13 years, Donald John Labay of Oxford, who died in 1963.
Mrs. Labay worked at Robinson Thread Co. in Worcester for more than 25 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford and a former member of the church choir.
She is survived by a son, D. Bruce Labay and his wife, Sharon, of Oxford; three grandsons, Daniel Labay and his wife, Lynelle, of Oxford, Timothy Labay and his wife, Barbra, of Webster, and Keith Labay and his companion, Jeanie Desaulnier, of Webster; two great-granddaughters, Julie Dorothy Labay and Rhianna Jordan Labay, both of Oxford; and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Roger Henault of Auburn, Maine, and Roland Henault and Laurier Henault, both of Lewiston, Maine.
