AUBURN – Elsie V. Luce, 92, of Auburn, died Saturday, June 10, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin.
She was born in Worcester, Mass., on Sept. 2, 1913, to John and Anna Maki.
She married Arnold Luce on Feb. 4, 1931, and had three children.
Elsie was a hairdresser for more than 50 years, and her hobby was oil painting.
She was also very proud of her Finnish Heritage. She visited Finland and met relatives, the highlight of her trip.
She was also an honorary member of the First Auburn Senior Citizens and a life member of the Pine Cone Chapter of the Eastern Star No. 26.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette and her husband, Laurent Barriault; a son-in-law, Bruce Myrick and his wife, Rita; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Luce; four grandsons, Mark Barriault and his wife, Brenda, Gerald Myrick and his wife, Paula, John Myrick and his wife, Debbie, and James Myrick and his wife, Penny; and five great-grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer Barriault, Michael Myrick, and Casey and Brittney Myrick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold; a son, Arnold Jr.; and a daughter, Joan Myrick.
