LEWISTON – Jeannine L. Christianson, 72, of Sabattus, died Saturday, June 10, at Central Maine Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Lewiston on January 18, 1934, the daughter of Willie and Cecile (Couture) Fortin. She graduated from St. Peter’s Grammar School and St. Dominic Regional High School in 1952.

She married Donald Christianson on June 20, 1970. They resided in Las Vegas where she was employed by different hotels, and she and her husband managed many apartment buildings. They moved back to Maine for retirement in 1993.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, going for rides and being around people. She had a great love for animals, especially her dog, Missy.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Christianson of Sabattus; a brother, Bob Fortin of Lewiston; three children, Brett Christianson, Charles Christianson, and Susan Fuller and her husband, Eddie; sister-in-laws, Joan Moody of Waterboro, Marion Whitmore of Waterboro, Anna and her husband, Rex Bickford, of Waterboro, and Norma and her husband, Paul Sproul, of Damariscotta; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Jean-Guy Fortin.
