NORWAY – A woman lost control of her motorcycle late Monday afternoon near a corner on Route 117, the Harrison Road.

Norway police officer Kevin Conger Jr. said Linda Kellough-Gazza of Harrison was flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with non-life-threatening injuries. A nursing supervisor said she had no information to release.

Conger said after the accident, Kellough-Gazza was complaining about chest and leg pains.

The speed limit at the section of road near the Hillside Cottages is 50 miles per hour.

Kellough-Gazza’s companion, who was riding a motorcycle in front of her, told Conger the two were going about 45 miles per hour when she ran off the road shortly before 5 p.m.

Conger said alcohol was not a factor, and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
