SABATTUS – Sabattus Senior Citizens met on June 1 for a trip to a Chinese restaurant for lunch where all the members were presented a strand of beads. Seniors returned to Maxwell Hall for the monthly meeting and bingo.

The meeting was called to order by Bob Sutton, and the sick list was read by Secretary Joline Loesberg along with the birthdays for June and July, after which members sang “The Birthday Song.” Treasurer Pauline Gemme gave the proceeds and cash balances for April, then explained the rules of participation of the student scholarship fund.

There will be no meeting in July. The annual outing will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Maxwell Hall with lobster, clams, corn on the cob, hot dogs, hamburgers, blueberry cake and fruit. For more information, call Sutton at 783-6955.
