Lewiston – Alfred “Al” C. Siderio Jr., 60, a resident of Pond Road, Wales, died very unexpectedly Tuesday, June 13, at Central Maine Medical Center, to be with his Lord Jesus Christ.
He was born July 18, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Alfred C. Sr. and Marie Bonadies Siderio. Al was a graduate of Triton High School in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict.
On May 1, 1965, he married Linda Shaw in Wales; they celebrated 41 years of marriage this year. He worked for Don’s Electric in Monmouth for many years. He was a member of the Wales Presbyterian Church, having served as an elder and a deacon; he organized the Wales Fire Department and served as its fire chief for many, many years. He was vice president of the Androscoggin Fire Fighters Association; he organized and was an instructor for Fire Attack School; and while serving as a fireman, he and his fellow firemen were involved in Firemen’s Musters around the state.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Wales; his mother, Marie Siderio of Bellmawr, N.J.; three daughters, Bethany Chick and her husband, Jeffery, of Wales, Jessica Johnston and her husband, Olan, of Kingfield and Christina Levesque and her husband, Brian, of Monmouth; one son, Anthony Siderio Sr. and his wife, Bonnie, of Wales; nine grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Edna Shaw of Wales.
He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Siderio; and a sister, Louise Siderio.
