I offer thanks to the patriotic firefighter who has placed flags high above the trees around Lewiston (June 7). I often wondered who was responsible for putting a smile to my face and a quick reflection in my heart every day as I commute.

Although he wishes to remain nameless, I am glad the Sun Journal was able to take a little mystery out of this beautiful gesture.
