LEOMINSTER, Mass. – Edmund J. DesRoche, 65, of 556 Central St., died Monday, June 12, in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Rumford on Oct. 14, 1940, son of Edmund J. and Marie (Dean) DesRoche, Sr. and had lived in Leominster since 1958. He served in the U.S. Navy and had worked as a machine operator at Hendrix Wire & Cable Co. in Milford, N.H., for 30 years before retiring on April 1. He enjoyed playing his keyboard, spending time in Maine, hiking and photography. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. DeAmicis and her husband, Mark A. DeAmicis, of Leominster and Abbe J. DesRoche of Leominster; three brothers, Archie DesRoche of West Peru, Douglas DesRoche of Fayette and Theodore DesRoche of Wheatland, Calif.; three sisters, Judith Cetta of Mesa, Ariz., Dorothy Dudley of Turner and Crystal Marston of Eustis; and five grandchildren, Tanya LeBlanc, Julia DeAmicis, Adam DeAmicis, Sarah DeAmicis and Jacob Mainville, all of Leominster.
He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Judith M. (Bagley) DesRoche in 2002.
