FARMINGTON – Bellamy Jazz Band will perform in Nordica Auditorium at UMF, starting at 7:30 p.m. Monday. It is its seventh performance in Farmington over the last 17 years.

Performers include Dana Fisher on cornet, trumpet and fluglehorn; Frank Vigneau on keyboard; Bill “Mr. T” Thurston on drums; Dave Debree on tenor and vocals; Bill Manduca on hard-driving trombone and vocals; Pete Lord on soprano sax and tenor sax; and Peter Dunphy on banjo and tenor guitar and vocals.

The musicians play a loose jammin’ Chicago-style jazz ranging from Preservation Hall to prehistoric swing, jazz ballads, dance-hall tunes, and just a suggestion now and then that they’ve heard the rock ‘n’ roll.

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for children 12 and under. There is no advance sale of tickets. The event is sponsored by the Arts Institute of Western Maine, in cooperation with the Alumni Association of the University of Maine at Farmington. For more information, call 645-2157.
