MONMOUTH – The Theater At Monmouth will open its 37th season with its annual night of music, comedy, and ridiculous antics, “The Black Fly Follies,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Monmouth’s Cumston Hall.

“The Black Fly Follies” is a six-year-old tradition at The Theater At Monmouth, and grows in popularity each year, with its surprises and new comic twists.

The 2006 version of the show will feature members of The Theater’s summer company performing a mix of special acts such as juggling, magic, sketch comedy, and other fun skills, as well as a variety of instrumental and vocal music.

“The Black Fly Follies” will feature veteran Monmouth performers Dustin Tucker, Dennis Price, Bill Van Horn, Mark S. Cartier, Sally Wood, Mike Anthony and David Greenham, as well as a host of newcomers. The evening will feature a fun special tribute to John Story, the prolific Theater At Monmouth designer who passed away this past winter.

Tickets are $22 for adults, $18 for students and senior citizens, and $10 rush seats will be available at the door on the evening of the show, if it’s not sold out.

For tickets, phone the theater at (207) 933-9999 or e-mail [email protected].
