ROUND POND – This summer’s concert series at the Little Brown Church will begin Wednesday, June 21, courtesy of local musicians Fred Gosbee and Julia Lane, better known as Castlebay. The two, who have loved, sung and researched folk music since childhood, will perform spritely dance tunes and haunting aires inspired by Celtic traditions.

Vocals are supported with Lane’s award-winning Celtic harp style, and Gosbee’s expertise on 12-string guitar, fiddle and woodwinds.

Lane and Gosbee have organized the Wednesday evening series for the last seven years as a benefit for the building maintenance fund.

Admission is a suggested $9 donation. The church is on Route 32 in Round Pond Center. Concertgoers are advised to bring a cushion for the wooden pews. For more information, call 529-5438 or e-mail [email protected].
