LEWISTON – The Lewiston School Nutrition Program, in cooperation with the city of Lewiston Recreation Program, will offer a free summer food service program for children. Breakfast and lunch will be served on weekdays at the following locations: Kennedy Park, Multi-Purpose Center, Summer Play Days, Potvin Park, River Valley (Tall Pines), Hillview Apartments and Camp Smiles.

All meals will meet the federal government guidelines and will be served June 21 through Aug. 11 at the park sites. All meals must be eaten at the site.

On rainy days, the children will be served at the Multi-Purpose Center. No meals will be served on July 3 and 4.

This is the 19th year for the Lewiston program, which continues to be a joint effort of two Lewiston departments who expect to serve 400 children daily.

Free meals are provided to attending children age 18 and under.
