SACO – Beatrice Duprey, 70, of Old Orchard Beach, died Wednesday, June 14, at Southern Maine Medical Center, after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 25, 1935, in Wallagrass, a daughter of Hampy and Melida Labbe Labbe and was educated there. On Aug. 2, 1952, she married Levi Duprey.
She lived and worked in Connecticut for many years, working in several factories there. She returned to Maine in 1978, working in retail stores and also doing housekeeping. She retired in 1995.
She was a member of St. Philip’s Church while residing in Turner and was currently a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Old Orchard Beach. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Bernier of South Portland; one son, Ronney Duprey of Old Orchard Beach; two sisters, Germaine Nadeau of Fort Kent and Bernadette Marquis of Lewiston; two brothers, Roland Labbe of Lisbon and Raymond Labbe of Turner; two grandsons, Tyler Bernier and his wife, Patti and Ryan Bernier; one great-grandson, Logan Bernier; and several nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her husband, Levi in October 1997; and also by a brother, Normand Labbe.
