RUMFORD – Drs. Teresita Maguire and Daniel Lalonde have joined Rumford Hospital’s Specialty Clinic Medical Staff.

They add the specialties of infectious disease and pain management, respectively, to the clinic’s roster of specialists including oncology, orthopedic, gastroenterology, cardiology and audiology.

Maguire holds a post-doctoral fellowship from the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. She also served a residency in the Department of Medicine there, as well as in the Department of Medicine, Cebu City Medical Center in Cebu City, Philippines. Prior to her residency at Maimonides Medical Center, Maguire was a primary care physician in the Philippines.

A summa cum laude graduate of the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Maguire earned her medical degree magna cum laude from the University of the Visayas-Gullas College of Medicine in Cebu. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Diseases.

Lalonde, a Lewiston native, recently completed a postgraduate fellowship in pain management in the Department of Anesthesiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Center in San Antonio and completed his residency, as well as a cerebrovascular fellowship at the the UTHC in Galvaston. Lalonde received his undergraduate degree from Bates College in Lewiston.

Lalonde offers fluoroscopic guided intervention treatments such as steroid injections and spinal nerve blocks, as well as more advanced interventions, including implantation of intraspinal pumps.

Both new specialty clinic specialists accept patients through the referral of a primary care physician. Maguire sees patients with infectious diseases on the second Monday of every month. Lalonde is in the Rumford Hospital Specialty Clinics on the second and fourth Fridays of every month.
