RUMFORD – A memorial Mass for Gisele T. Gurney was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 16, at St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church.

The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. Mark Belanger was the organist. Special music selections were “The Rose,” “Ave Maria,” “On Eagles Wings” and “Be Not Afraid.” Readings were done by Carrie Puiia. Poems were read by Marcelle Miller and Carrie Puiia.

Pallbearers were Chad and Demarie Gurney and Justine and Brian Higgins. Interment was in St. John Cemetery with committal prayers offered by Deacon Rod Berger.

A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
