Poland – Funeral services for Robert Francis Boulanger will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of The Rosary Church, 131 High St., Sabattus. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery after the funeral.
Uncle Bob, as he was known by most, 65, of Poland, died peacefully on the morning of Dec. 6, 2005, at home after a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 12, 1940, the son of Joseph and Lottie (Tooker) Boulanger.
He was a songwriter and singer of country music. He recorded several albums under the name of Van Trever and lived for several years in the Nashville, Tenn., area.
He was also employed by L.L.Bean and had recently retired from the Ellsworth store.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Jeannine Boulanger; his niece, Denise Boyce; and his nephews, Mark, Glen, Douglas, and Jimmy Boulanger.
He was predeceased by his three brothers, Fred, Ronald and Mark Boulanger.
