NORWAY – Edwina Mann Palmer, 82, of Norway, died June 20, in Norway.
She was born in West Paris on May 8, 1921, the daughter of Edwin J. and Elinor (Toole) Mann. She was educated in West Paris schools, Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield and graduated from Gould Academy in 1940, and then attended Stoneleigh College in Rye, N.H.
She married Earle A. Palmer on Sept. 13, 1941, in West Paris and was a homemaker all of her life. She attended the West Paris Universalist Church and later was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Norway and was an associate member of the Rangeley Congregational Church and the Stuart, Fla., Congregational Church.
She was a member of the O.E.S. and Rebekahs of West Paris, as well as a member of the Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an assistant leader to the Girl Scout Troop in West Paris. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She lived in Oquossoc summers for 40 years and in Stuart, Fla. winters for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Earle A. Palmer of Norway; one son, Earle E. Palmer and his wife, Carolyn, of West Paris; two daughters, Sharlene MacFawn and her husband, Warren, of Peru and Carolee Bryant of Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren, Cheryl Smith, Cathy Gregoire, Robert Palmer, Brian MacFawn, Chris Palmer, Kerry Gardner and Aaron MacFawn; and 12 great-grandchildren.
