NORWAY – The Child Health Center’s Parent Place Program recently offered children, teens and young parents in the community an opportunity to have dental hygiene services free.
To do this the center invited Tooth Fairies Inc., a program serving underserved populations, to spend a day at their facility. The Tooth Fairies are equipped with portable equipment and are able to travel to most locations.
Throughout the day, people from the community, who would not otherwise be able to receive dental care, were seen by the Tooth Fairies, who offered cleaning with fluoride treatment, sealant placement, oral hygiene instruction and screening to determine needs.
For more information about the Tooth Fairies, call 754-8487 or the Child Health Center at 743-7035 in Norway or 782-5437 in Lewiston/Auburn.
The Child Health Center serves children and families throughout Oxford, Androscoggin, northern Cumberland and southern Franklin counties.
